What is the "What if...Spread the Love Campaign?" The idea behind it is to promote compassion in our communities. During this difficult season, we are encouraging foster/adoptive families to do something kind for someone. It doesn't matter whether it is great or small. Be creative with it!
There are many ways to be kind to someone, even within your home. Here are a couple of examples:
Hug someone or give them a high five for "just being awesome." It's a nice way to spread love.
Help clean up toys or do some household chores–an awesome gesture that can help make someone's day easier.
Write a kind letter to someone and appreciate them for what they do–a great way to spread the love.
Caring for your pet with extra playtime or love.
Saying something you like about someone can go a long way (i.e. I like your drawing).
Creating art to give to someone in your home can make others feel loved.
*During this season, please be sure to exercise safety, social distancing, and follow state mandated requirements w/ your out-of-home care provider or parent
Under the supervision of your out-of-home care provider or parent, offering to help a neighbor with yard work can be a huge help.
During these stressful times, many residents of long-term care do not get the normal visits that they may be used to. Organizing a call to a resident to say "hello" will brighten their day.
Saying something you like about someone can go a long way (i.e. "That is a nice tie!").
Tidying up your neighborhood is a nice way to make someone's day easier and the community looks nicer.
Volunteering with local organizations is a great way to share compassion and talent with others in the community.
